Leading the effort will be Granite Investments primary partner Richard Vandervert, whose namesake construction company owns several hotels. The three-story limited-service Hilton Gardens will be modeled upon a new prototype Hilton format. Russ Page Architects of Spokane is designing the 65,454-sf hotel on three acres situated off a planned extension of Flint Road, one-half mile from the Spokane International Airport.
McKee says his LLC is raising approximately $6 million from private investors in first-round money for the West Plains development. Other plans for the campus include office space, and high-tech/biotech facilities.
