KANSAS CITY, MO – The scheduled conversion of the former Bank of America building into the new Kansas City Public Library headquarters is drawing attention to two nearby office buildings. The Dwight Building, 1004 Baltimore Ave., and the Board of Trade, 127 W. 10th St., are on the market. The two are listed for $6.5 million, which is about $17 psf.

The Dwight Building in located across the street from the library’s proposed new home. It was built in two stages, with the first seven floors completed in 1908 and the upper three added in 1925. It was upadated in the 1980s. The Board of Trade moved from downtown to the Country Club Plaza in the mid 1960s. Camilio Estremadoiro, broker with Prudential Commercial Resources Realty, is listing both properties, as well as two other vacant buildings downtown – the Law Building at 1207 Grand Blvd. and another down the street at 1327 Grand Blvd.
