Major Industrial Space Changes Hands in DuPage County

DUPAGE COUNTY, IL-Two deals back-to-back involve 56 properties and more than 1.26 million sf. The total sales price was $50 million.

DUPAGE COUNTY, IL-Nearly 1.26 million sf of industrial properties in the western suburbs of Chicago has changed hands in recent days, in two large transactions. The Alter Group, a Skokie, IL-based real estate developer and management firm, sold a 1 million-sf portfolio of 28 flex and industrial properties to LaSalle Investment Management. The portfolio includes Yorkbrook Park, with 25 industrial properties, and Oak Creek, with three. Both sets of properties are in Lombard, IL. The price was about $50 million.

Koll Bren Schreiber Realty Advisors has sold Woodlake Corporate Park, also in Lombard, to UBS Brison. This represents one of the larger office sales in the western suburbs in the second half of 2000, a time when, in general, investment sales have been up somewhat from the first half of the year. Woodlake Corporate Park is comprised of seven single-story office buildings totalling about 263,000 sf. They sold for about $34 million. Both transactions were brokered by Transwestern Commercial Services of Chicago.
