Since 1991, Ware has been CEO and president of Lazarus Property Corp. His distinguished career spans all facets of commercial real estate. As head of Lazarus, he has led the company to a dominant player in office redevelopment, high-rise residential and retail development. He is credited with the conversion of a former Kmart and Incredible Universe stores into viable call center properties and entertainment facilities and the conversion of the Prestonwood Town Center into a mixed-use development. Ware has headed up Lazarus since 1991.

At HQ Global Workplace, also a Dallas company, Thomas A. Carroll has been named vice president of real estate. He will oversee renovations and new center development for the office solutions provider. Carroll had been senior vice president of real estate for Zale Corp., where he oversaw an average of more than 230 projects annually.

CEO Gary Kusin says Carroll will be leading the way "to develop and revitalize a number of our centers using our 2001 prototype." The latest plan revolves around a high-tech design so clients and employees can "work whenever, wherever and however they choose," says Kusin.
