NetSolve will keep its present offices at 12331 Riata Trace Parkway. The company occupies nearly 70,000 sf on two floors in Riata Trace Building II. A company source says she does not know how many of NetSolve's 275 employees will be moving into the new space at Amber Oaks. "The company needs to double the space to increase our service capacity and allow for growth," the source tells GlobeSt.com.
NetSolve has signed a six-year lease to occupy 9500 Amber Glen Blvd. in the state capital's Far Northwest submarket, setting April 2001 for its moving date. The building is one of three in the office park that is under construction. Three other buildings at Amber Oaks, totaling 370,000 sf, have been completed at the Northwest Austin site and are 100% leased.
"We're breaking ground next week on another building for another 150,000 sf," says Hale Umstattd, project manager and senior vice president with Transwestern Commercial Services, which owns, leases and manages the Amber Park complex. Umstattd says that Amber Oaks Office Park, when completed, will contain between two million sf to 2.5 million sf of office and industrial space. White Construction is the general contractor on the Amber Oaks project and the architect is Reh and Burwell Partners.
NetSolve, founded in Austin in 1995, has a customer base of more than 1,200 small and mid-sized companies representing 25,000 sites in 42 countries. NetSolve recently has been selected by CarrAmerica as a preferred provider of managed network services to the real estate company's 284 US properties.
