At its meeting last week, the City Council gave the go-ahead to contract with EIP Associates to prepare an environmental impact report on the project, which would amount to more than 405,000-sf. "They're planning a 405,000-sf shopping center. Home Depot and Target are prospective tenants, but nothing has been signed," according to a spokesperson with Gallagher and Miersch, Inc. – a real estate brokerage firm that would work with developer Eli Reinhard and Arcadia Development Company.

While the EIR will take six months to complete, a design review package will be prepared for the city by the developer. At the same time, public hearings before the City Council and the Planning Commission will be held.
