KC Heavy Constructors Association Picks Officers

KANSAS CITY, MO-The Heavy Constructors Association of the Greater Kansas City Area has announced its new board and officers for the 2001-2002 term. Elected to the president’s post is William Ellis II of W.A. Ellis Construction in Independence, MO. Serving as VP will be Jim Kissick of Kissick Construction in Kansas City, MO. Kevin Fahey of J.M. Fahey Construction in Grandview, MO was elected treasurer.

The new board of directors will include: Bill Clarkson Jr., Superior Bowen Asphalt Co.; John O’Donnell, O’Donnell & Sons Construction Co.; Robert Bartley, BSC Steel Inc.; George Hornung, Comanche Construction Inc.; Howie Snyder, Musselman & Hall Construction; Mike Pursell, Damon Pursell Construction Co.; Greg Kaaz, Lexeco; Jerry Wiedenmann, Wiedenmann & Godfrey Construction Inc.; David Beemer, Beemer Construction Co.; and John Bowen, Superior Bowen Asphalt Co. Farmers Coop to Buy Quaker Oats Plant Judie Burkhalter Everest, KS – Plant in NW Missouri was scheduled to close next year; some employees may move to new. company Everest, KS – Lifeline Foods, an entity of AgraMarke Inc. a farmer-owned, not-for-profit cooperative, has made a tentative agreement to purchase the Quaker Oats plant in northwest Missouri. The plant is scheduled to close next year. Lifeline Foods, which is based in Everest, KS, plans to mill flours made from corn, soybeans and wheat. Operations are expected to begin in June and the company will employ about 110 people. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
