Quorum Equities Courting Tenants for 135-Acre Georgetown Project

GEORGETOWN, TX-Quorum Equities has secured 135 acres from Apple Computer that had been ticketed for a manufacturing plant of 1.2-million sf or more. Two big-box retailers have been signed for the proposed retail project and more are sure to follow.

GEORGETOWN, TX-A 106-acre tract of land north of Austin has been sold to Quorum Equities Group, a Dallas-based real estate developer.The site already has two big-box tenants, NAI Real Estate Specialist Jerry Heare tells GlobeSt.com. NAI Commercial Industrial Properties represented the seller, Power Computing Co. Heare did not identify the tenants and sources at Quorum Equities Group were unavailable for comment.

Power Computing Co. bought the land in the mid-1990s with plans to build a manufacturing facility, ranging from 1.2 million sf to 1,425,000 sf, for Apple-compatible computers. Apple Computer bought Power Computing Co. and closed the company in 1997, leaving the land undeveloped.
