The Department of Environmental Health is proposing to increase some fees and others. The first workshop will be held Jan. 30 at 10 a.m. in the Escondido City Council chambers, at 201 North Broadway. The second workshop will be held at 2 p.m. the same day in the hearing room of the county Planning and Land Use Department, Suite B, at 5201 Ruffin Rd. in San Diego.

Workshops also will be held on Jan. 31, at 10 a.m., in the El Cajon City Council chambers at 200 East Main St., and at 2 p.m. in theChula Vista City Council chambers at 276 Fourth Ave.

The Board of Supervisors, which is scheduled to vote on the fee changes March 14, will factor public comments into its decision.
