Maurice Villency, an upscale furniture retailer based in New York City, will anchor Bethesda Corner along with Parvizian Masterpieces. Villency's 20,263-sf store, its first outside the New York City metropolitan area, is scheduled to open in May 2001. Parvizian, specializing in Oriental rugs, is already located at the center and will remain open during construction.

When completed, the 60,000-sf retail center will be devoted exclusively to upscale home furnishings, design, and accessories. The renovation will yield a new façade, storefronts and canopies.
