American States Headquarters Building to Undergo Redevelopment

WASHINGTON, DC-The 21-year-old Organization of American States building at 1889 F St., NW, is about to be renovated. The 350,000-sf OAS building, built in 1979, is eight stories with a penthouse and lower level.

According to information released by Blake Real Estate, project development manager, the project will include the full tenant build-out of OAS occupied floors and supporting conference facilities; renovation and upgrading of the lobby and entrance, common areas, elevator systems and restrooms; upgrading all mechanical and electrical systems; and meeting ADA accessibility requirements. The project is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2002.
