Belmont Greene's recreational facilities will include a 2,400-sf community building and pool house; two swimming pools; a tennis court; a volleyball court; a tot lot; and three landscaped pocket parks. They also include a baseball field and soccer field, and an extensive trail system linking with sidewalks, roadways, and the existing W&OD trail.
Of the more than 560 people the developer reports have visited the Belmont Greene Visitors' Center since it opened last summer, about 10% have signed contracts for new homes. Waterford Development recently sold a site to Montessori Academy, which will offer a full Montessori curriculum for 180 students, pre-school through grade 3, beginning in all 2001.The Academy, under the same ownership as Montessori Children's House of Loudoun in Sterling, plans to accommodate up to 240 children.
Homes here in the development will range from condominiums starting around $180,000 to single-family homes with up to 3,200 sf of space at approximately $350,000. More than 750 homes will be built within the 275-acre mixed use community by five builders: Ryland, Miller & Smith, Bozzutto, Caruso and NVHomes.
