Post West Avenue is located at 300 West Ave. in the state capital's downtown. Designs include loft floor plans, hardwood and polished concrete floors and varied ceiling heights. The first level of the development is zoned for office and retail uses. The project is close to Austin's hike and bike trail, Sixth Street retail district, and warehouse entertainment and dining areas.

Post began pre-leasing Post West Avenue's 239 units in last summer and expects the project to be completed by the first quarter of 2001. Post estimates the build-out cost will total $22.5 million.

In Dallas, the 196-unit second phase of Post Uptown Village in Dallas has reached full build-out, bearing a $15-million price tag. Atlanta-based Post Properties Inc. has 496 units in the two phases, situated in Dallas' vibrant Uptown district. The Post community is patterned after a classic New Orleans neighborhood, boasting vintage lampposts, courtyard fountains and window boxes.

Full lease-up also has been reached for Post Stratford, located one block off Peachtree Street in Atlanta's Buckhead commercial district. The 250-unit complex's full build-out cost totals $24.5 million.
