$15.4-Mil City-County Project Pushing for Spring Delivery

LOVELAND, CO-City and county staffs are looking forward to the spring when a 100,000-sf project will be finished, bringing more space and a services consolidation for residents' convenience. The $15.4-million project means an end to desk sharing.

LOVELAND, CO-The city’s 100,000-sf Police and Court Building for the City of Loveland and Larimer County is under construction and scheduled to open in the spring.

Denver-based Fentress Bradurn Architects has designed the project, with Greeley-based Hensel Phelps Construction Co. acting as general contractor for the $15.4-million facility situated on 7.2 acres. Hensel Phelps is the largest general contractor in the state, with more than $1 billion in projects under way at any given time.

The complex features two courtrooms. Presently, municipal court and county court are houses in separate buildings. Two thirds of the new building will accommodate city offices while county operations will occupy the remaining space. The county is kicking in $3.3 million toward the project cost.
