There are 183,000 sf available in the structure, but no takers as yet, though Schneidau reports "serious activity." Earlier reports that the building had been leased proved inaccurate.

But whoever the tenant is "it won't be a retailer," said Schneidau. "It will probably be a technology company or a call center operator. The rents are higher." Square footage in the area has been going for as much as $14 per sf. The space has been vacant for about two months.

Cushman & Wakefield will build the space out for the right tenant, Schneidau said. Retail stores are popular with high-tech and telecom firms because they are already wired throughout, and build-out costs are minimized.
