MR3 is a high-tech metals extraction and separation technology capable of converting hazardous liabilities into non-hazardous, profitable assets through the large-scale processing of industrial wastes and other complex metals sources into pure metals and specialty chemical products. Increase in the Montana plant's capacity is projected to yield a total of over $1 million in annual sales of these specialty chemical products, which will allow the company to reach a positive cash flow on a company-wide basis by the second quarter this year.
MR3 Systems leases office corporate office at Pier 54 in San Francisco, laboratory space at 45 Congress St. in Salem, Mass. The Butte, MT manufacturing and processing plant is located at 104 North Parkmont. The company plans to use the expanded Montana facility to produce both copper and zinc sulfates.
The company has developed and advanced the MR3 technology since it acquired MR3 Inc. in October 1997. The acquisition included an MR3 equipment manufacturing facility located in Butte, and testing laboratory in Salem. In 1998, the Montana facility was converted into a zinc waste processing plant with the installation of equipment that allows the company to produce metal products on a small commercial scale, while also utilizing the facility as a demonstration pilot model for future business opportunities.
