Snyder-Langston Chosen to Build Phase III of Irvine Spectrum Retail Center

IRVINE, CA-The developer of the first two phases of the Irvine Spectrum Center is expecting to complete construction of Phase III, a $22-million expansion of the retail/entertainment center, by November 2001.

IRVINE, CA-Snyder Langston, developer of the first two phases of the Irvine Spectrum retail entertainment center, has been selected by The Irvine Company to build the center’s Phase III, $22-million expansion.

The expansion, totaling 193,722 sf on 25 acres, is scheduled for completion in November 2001. When completed, the expansion’s architecture will complement the Moorish village theme of the original center, accented with cobblestone walkways, fountains and plazas featuring push cart vendors.

The centerpiece of this new phase is the 10-story Ferris Wheel built in Italy and a Spanish Mediterranean motif carousel built by Barrango of San Francisco. A two-story, 30,000-sf Old Navy signature store will anchor the new expansion complex.
