The deal calls for Trintech to assume Globeset's liabilities and $10 million in stock, with the balance in cash. Globeset's home office at 9606 N. Mopac Blvd. in Austin will remain open and operations will continue, a Trintech source told GlobeSt.com. Globeset's other offices in Addison, Tokyo, Hong Kong and London will also continue operations, the source says.

Globeset's ePayments infrastructure provides connection among financial-service providers, electronic exchanges, buyers and sellers. Trintech, founded in 1987 in San Mateo, is an electronic payment solutions provider for the Internet and wireless transactions. The product range covers payment requirements of consumers, card issuing banks, merchant acquiring institutions, merchants, eMerchants, telcos, wireless operators, ISPs/CSPs, portals and large corporations.
