Shareholders of ClearWorks IT Solutions and Eagle Wireless International Inc., based in League City, will cast ballots on the final day of this month on the terms of a definitive merger contract inked in mid-September. ClearWorks is a leading provider of fiber optic services for neighborhoods and businesses - from high-speed Internet connections to community Intranets. Eagle Wireless is one of the leading suppliers of broadband wired and wireless Internet equipment and services.

ClearWorks isn't standing still as the merger countdown continues. It recently has been accorded Cisco Premier Certification status for bundled digital services for developers of residential and commercial projects. The partnering aspect of the certifications facilitates selling, designing, implementing and supporting network solutions.

ClearWorks has been working with Cisco, deploying its solutions, according to Shannon McLeroy, ClearWorks president and COO. Certification is considered the next step for furthering voice, video and data network offerings to developers.
