Ex-Duke-Weeks Exec is in at Post Properties; Harris Is Out

ATLANTA-The locally-based REIT makes another move to get its financial house back in order with the hiring of David P. Stockert to replace Jeffrey A. Harris as president and COO.

ATLANTA-David P. Stockert is Post Properties, Inc.’s new president and chief operating officer. He replaces Jeffrey A. Harris, who had been with the REIT for 17 years and took on the role of president and COO in March 2000. Harris is getting into another line of unidentified work, according to a Post news release.

Stockert, who left Duke-Weeks Realty this past October, had been executive vice president of acquisitions and dispositions with the company. As senior vice president and CFO of Atlanta-based Weeks Corp., the 38-year-old Stockert was a key player in the July 1999 merger of Duke Realty and Weeks, which created Duke-Weeks Realty Corp., headquartered in Indianapolis, IN.
