For the First Time in Decades Three Adjacent Floors Are Available at 575 Madison Ave.

NEW YORK CITY-The office market continues to be tight, and many experts argue the vacancies created by mergers and acquisitions, as well as dot-com closures will be beneficial, returning some prime office space to a starved city.

NEW YORK CITY-Many industry insiders have been saying that the slowing economy and trend toward mergers and acquisitions will only create balance in an over-starved office market. While the city’s limited space has been a boon to building owners, commanding sky-high rents in once fringe neighborhoods, experts have been saying for months that some free space in the city would be a healthy thing. Now it seems the balance will even be restored on Madison Avenue.

Whether it’s a sign of tough times ahead, or indeed the healthy injection of returned space to the market, three adjacent floors within 575 Madison Ave. are now available. GVA Williams Real Estate Co. has been named the exclusive leasing agent for the building where the entire sixth, seventh and eighth floors are now coming to market. There is also an additional 70,000 sf of space available throughout the building.
