The Westlake Village City Center will consist of two buildings with 66,400 sf each. Plans call for 32,000-sf floor plates to accommodate tenants of all sizes. The project is being built on a speculative basis. Completion is expected in September.

The site is at 31111 Agoura Rd., near the intersection of US Highway 101 and Lindero Canyon Road. Opus West Architects and Engineering is the project's architect and Opus West Construction Corp. is general contractor.

A handful of projects have been springing up in the same area, which is rapidly gaining a reputation as a favorite spot for high-tech tenants who don't want to pay the sky-high prices on LA's Westside. Los Angeles-based Hileman Co.'s recently received approval to renovate and expand the former Teledyne Electronics plant in nearby Thousand Oaks, planning to convert it to a low-rise office park with a total of 275,000 sf.
