The six theatres will reopen with first-run movies under the direction of Cinema Consultants Inc., a local film booking and marketing company. Cinema Consultants operates and has part ownership of the Blue Spings Eight Cinema and two drive-in theatres.

The Crown Center theatres were opened by Mid America Cinema in 1984 and AMC took over operations in 1988. The lease between AMC and Crown Center expired several years ago, but the company agreed to hold the lease until Crown Center Revelopment Corp. found another tenant.
