CinemaStar Theaters filed for bankruptcy because of the glut of new screens on the market has hurt ticket sales, according to company officials. The chain doesn't plan to close any theaters at present.
The chain's nine theater complexes include three in San Diego County: the CinemaStar Galaxy 6 in Bonsall, the CinemaStar Luxury Theaters Chula Vista 10 and the Ultraples 13 in Oceanside.
