ORLANDO-Citing costly renovations, the purchase of new rides and higher labor costs, Sea World/Orlando, owned by St. Louis beer distributor Anheuser Busch Cos., is raising its adult admission ticket prices by $2, to $50.83 from $48.88.

In doing so, the 27-year-old Sea World beat rival 30-year-old Walt Disney World to the ticket-upping entrance gate by two days. Disney followed with a new $50.88 net admission, topping Sea World’s price by a nickel. Universal Orlando remains quiet on its plans. Universal’s net admission is $49.22.
