One complex is the Brownstones at the Vistas in Novi, on 13 Mile Road. Under construction now, it will have 260 one-, two- and three-bedroom units when the brick buildings are completed. Each unit will have a covered, walk-in garage, fireplaces, private entrances, patio and balconies along with washer and dryer hook-ups. The project is similar to the type of multifamily development going up around I-275 and to the west. The average three-bedroom unit at the Brownstones has 1,800 sf and rents for $1,600 per month.
Another project is the Village Commons going up in Lyon Township. It is being built by the PM Investment Group of Milford. When it's complete at the end of 2001, development along Grand River west of Milford Road will have 240 one-, two- and three-bedroom units. The rent there will also be about $1 per square foot.
