Plaza Belmont Management Group formed a food company called Premier Blending. Robert Parnow, chief operating officer of the Plaza Belmont Management Group, has been named president of Premier. Company officials say Premier intends to hire most of CPI's 40 employees.

CPI operates from a 60,000-sf facility in Wichita. The company manufactures 1,500 formulas such as bakery mixes, spices, seasoning blends and pizza dough. Previously, Plaza Belmont acquired the assets of another company, based in Fremont, NB, that made pasta, cereal and snacks.

Formed in 1998, Plaza Belmont has five partners with backgrounds in milling and food manufacturing. John Stout, Jr. is chief executive officer. Robert Parnow is chief operating officer. The two, along with James Olson, have headquarters here. Partners John Stout, Sr. and Henry Holt are based in Memphis.
