Construction has started on the second phase of Thunderbird Paseo Medical Plaza, with development of a 38,000-sf Class A office building. The addition will include a large garden courtyard and covered parking. The second phase is scheduled to be completed by spring.

When completed, the Thunderbird Paseo Medical Plaza, which is on the campus of Thunderbird Samaritan Medical Center, will have 98,000 sf. The medical facility is at the southwest corner of 55th Avenue and Thunderbird Road in Glendale, a suburb adjacent to Phoenix.

The second phase was begun to meet the growing demand for medical space in the northwest Valley, says Randy McGrane, managing director of Ensemble Investment, a Phoenix-based developer of medical office buildings.

Ensemble Investments built the first phase in 1995 and quickly leased the entire space.
