The CUSIP numbers for these recallable notes are: 31364KAZ3, 31359MAY9, 31364GX61, 31364G2G3, 31364FEQ0, 31364FJB8, 31364KGF1, and 31364KGK0.
"This type of recall is typical," says Fannie Mae spokeswoman Janis Smith. "Fannie Mae's is actually evaluating recallable debt on a daily basis. In a period like this with interest rates dropping, you see an increase in redemption activity. It's feasible to call in outstanding debt and issue new debt at lower yields. It's an economically motivated decision."
The notes will be redeemed at a price equal to 100% of the principal plus accrued interest to the date of redemption, Smith says.
