PerkinElmer Shifts Norwalk Operations to Shelton

SHELTON, CT-PerkinElmer Instruments has signed a lease for 245,000 sf of space at 710 Bridgeport Ave. and will relocate its current operations in Norwalk and Wilton here by the second quarter of this year.

SHELTON, CT-PerkinElmer Instruments has signed a 10-year lease deal for 245,000 sf of space at 710 Bridgeport Ave. It will relocate approximately 589 employees to the site by the second quarter of this year.

The company, a strategic business unit of PerkinElmer Inc. of Wellesley, MA, signed a sublease with Philips Medical Systems for 245,000 sf of space here for an unspecified term. In addition, the company signed a direct lease for that space with building owner Reckson Associates Realty Corp., according to Paul Jacobs, senior managing director of Insignia/ESG, who represented Philips Medical Systems in the sublease transaction. Spaulding & Slye represented PerkinElmer Instruments.

Stephanie Wasco, community relations manager for PerkinElmer Instruments, says the company will relocate from leased space at 50 Danbury Rd. in Wilton and 761 Main Ave. in Norwalk to the 450,000-sf building. She notes that the company decided to relocate in order to consolidate its manufacturing operations in Norwalk and its administrative functions in Wilton under one roof.
