Westin Hotels and Resorts Retains Management of Philippine Plaza

WHITE PLAINS-Westin Hotels & Resorts, a subsidiary of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc., based here, reports that its management agreement with Philippine Plaza Holdings Inc. for the Westin Philippine Plaza has been renewed.

WHTIE PLAINS-Philippine Plaza Holdings Inc., and Westin Hotels & Resorts announce the renewal of the management agreement for the Westin Philippine Plaza in the Philippines. Westin is a subsidiary of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc., which is headquartered here. Westin has managed The Westin Philippine Plaza, a distinctive landmark of Manila, since 1976.

“The Westin Philippine Plaza is one of the most established and recognized hotels of the Westin group in Asia-Pacific. It has been a part of the history of the Philippines and has hosted many international events, and well-known dignitaries and celebrities. We are very proud to continue the partnership with Philippine Plaza Holdings Inc. for the management of The Westin Philippine Plaza,” said David Shackleton, senior vice president of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc.

“We look forward to the continuing partnership with Westin Hotels Resorts for the management of The Westin Philippine Plaza, which is a very important asset for our company,” says Oscar S. Salvacion, president of Philippine Plaza Holdings Inc. “The hotel has undergone major renovation and refurbishing over the past three years and now has excellent facilities and services for the business and leisure travelers.”
