Crestline Opens Renaissance Portsmouth Hotel and Waterfront Conference Center

PORTSMOUTH, VA- A $48 million hotel and conference center here is one of the latest Crestline offerings according to information released by the firm. Bethesda, MD-based Crestline Capital Corporation, a 67% owner, plans to capitalize on the growing Tidewater hotel and conference market with the opening of the Renaissance Portsmouth Hotel and Waterfront Conference Center, says Donald R. Trice, Crestline Hotels & Resorts’ president and CEO. The project developer, principals of Stormont Trice Development, Atlanta, owns the remaining portion of the hotel.

Opening at 1 p.m. Jan. 10, the 250-room Renaissance Portsmouth Hotel and the 24,000-sf Waterfront Conference Center is located directly on the water at 425 Water St. A restaurant with waterfront dining, an indoor pool, and an executive learning center and case study amphitheater built to International Association of Conference Centers standards are among the center’s amenities. Crestline Capital’s management subsidiary, is managing both the hotel and conference center through a long-term management contract.
