Ex-Tennis Coach Launches First Short-Term Resort Rental Community in Central Florida

DAVENPORT, FL-Carlos Goffi, former mentor for Peter Fleming and the McEnroe brothers, is developing VistaPark Resort, a $65-million enterprise near Walt Disney World.

DAVENPORT, FL-Champion tennis coach-turned developer Carlos Goffi is building VistaPark Resort, a $65-million hotel-themed, short-term rental shelter development unlike any other in Central Florida. The 210 detached single-family homes, with hotel-like service, rent for $345 to $695 per day. They can also be purchased by investors or prospective homeowners for $200,000 to $400,000 each. Goffi calls his project, “a gated, open-air hotel with a complete infrastructure of services.”

The planned 60-acre community rests within a citrus grove along the highlands of US 27, about one mile south of US 192, the main entrance to Walt Disney World. The site is minutes from the Kansas City Royals’ spring training site.

Thirty of the 54 rental homes in VistaPark’s first of three construction phases are near completion. The project is being marketed to investors and vacationers from Europe, South and Central America, Canada and the Midwest and Northeastern regions of the United States. The community is also being pitched as “a viable and practical alternative to a hotel,” Goffi tells GlobeSt.com. He likens the project to “a Ritz Carlton-like rental housing development for Central Florida’s discerning visitor.”
