The first is Worldport at Denver International Airport. This is a multi-million-dollar construction project in which Quality Electric will team with Bovis Lend Lease to construct several multi-use warehouses at DIA. Quality Electric will provide design build services for eight single-story buildings totaling about 90,000 sf. The facilities will eventually make use of the equivalent of eight city blocks for aircraft, tenant improvements and warehouses.
The second is the 275,000-sf office campus for Invesco Funds, the second-largest family of mutual funds based in Denver after Janus. This project will consist of one six-story and one four-story office buildings, with a three-level parking garage. Quality Electric will provide design build services for the project contractor Swinerton Walbert/USAA. Each building will be backed by its own uninterruptible power supply.
On the third project, Quality Electric will team with Fort Collins, CO-based Neenan Co., a general contractor and architectural firm, for a 555,000-sf Spine Center and Medical Office building in Thornton, north of Denver.
Finally, Quality Electric has been hired for the fast-track construction of a 56,415-sf Safeway grocery store in Windsor, CO, a fast-growing community near Fort Collins. The project on 13.17 acres is to be completed in 90 days.
Rex Weisderspahn, president of Quality Electric, which was founded in 1978 in Denver, says all of these projects are significant for the company. "What's flattering to us is that the general contractors on each job is different, but each has seen the value that this company can bring to the job site," Weisderspahn told GlobeSt.com. "They've put their trust in us.
