Wyndham International did not return calls by presstime but Fred J. Kleisner, chairman and chief executive officer of the company said in a released statement, "The Boston area is an important target market for our company and through this franchise agreement we were able to partner with a reputable company who has a strong presence in the New England area." Located two miles from Logan International Airport and three miles from Downtown Boston, the hotel will target business travelers with Internet access in the guestrooms and in meeting rooms, cordless telephones, an executive boardroom and 1,500 sf of meeting space.
In addition to this hotel, Wyndham International currently has a hotel in Waltham, Burlington, Billerica, Andover and Westborough, Massachusetts. The company also has two hotels in the city, one of which is a historic hotel.
