LASV Enterprises' Purchase of Colombian Hilton on Track

HOUSTON-LASV Enterprises is proceeding with plans to buy the Hilton in El Laguito, Cartegena, Colombia. The plan calls for incorporating a casino into the recently expanded 289-room facility.

HOUSTON-LASV Enterprises’ Houston office has negotiated a final agreement to purchase 100% ownership of the Hilton Hotel in El Laguito, Cartegena, Colombia. LASV consultant, Patrick Hood told GlobeSt.com the purchase should close soon.

Hilton has an in-house representative handling the talks. LASV, based in Surrey British Columbia, Canada, has plans to build a casino in the hotel. The Cartegena Hilton recently had obtained a casino license in anticipation of this addition.

LASV is weighing whether to build in existing hotel space or expand to make room for the casino. “LASV was interested in this hotel,” says Hood, “because it had profitable revenues even without a casino.”
