The warehouse will house $28 million in inventory and could possibly double later to 360,000 sf and accommodate $50 million in inventory, the company says. Robb & Stucky is a worldwide shipper with 11 furniture stores, including drapery and flooring departments.
To attract Robb & Stucky, Lincoln competed with Catawba, Burke and McDowell counties. According to company and development officials, it was the industrial park's proximity to Interstates 85 and 40 and quick access to Interstate 77 that helped close the deal. Robb & Stucky is the third tenant for the 450-acre industrial park that is owned by Lincoln County. Roughly 350 acres, not including the Robb & Stucky site, remain available for development.
