The company has signed a 20-year lease for space it has occupied since 1980. Interior renovations will include cherry floors, accented with marble inlays and the use of more natural light. Outside, the store will have a limestone and stainless stell facade. The remodeling will be based on the company's stores on Fifth Avenue in New York and Post Street in San Francisco.
When Brooks Brothers moves back into its original space on the Plaza, it will share about 4,000 sf with BCBG Max Azria, a designer women's clothing store. BCBG Max Azria was founded in 1989 and has 140 stores internationally.
