Carroll will oversee economic and business development activities and planning for the chamber and the partnership. Carroll takes over as the partnership enters its second five-year plan. He will serve as lead executive involved in active recruitment of new business to the region, assist with fundraising efforts and oversee the Research & Information Center and the chamber's economic development staff.

The partnership is a $12-million public/private partnership created in 1996 to market the Detroit region worldwide and create opportunities for local businesses to expand their markets.

The Detroit Regional Chamber, an organization nearly 13,000 members acrossthe 10-county region, is committed to powering the economy for southeast Michigan, working to retain and attract jobs and investment to the region and helping regional business expand and grow.
