Teaney most recently worked for Highwoods Properties Inc., the North Carolina-based real estate investment trust that bought the J.C. Nichols Co. in 1998. Teaney joined the Nichols Co. in 1996 as senior vice president. He worked in sales, acquisition, leasing and property management.
Prior to joining the J.C. Nichols Co., Teaney worked for nearly 20 years for the company now known as CB Richard Ellis Inc. During his tenure with the company, he helped open an office in St. Louis.
