Acquired from San Francisco-based EDM Realty, the center is located on a 23.8-acre site. It is the second property acquired in Ventura County by Donahue Schriber, which plans to remodel the center and renovate its plaza area in front of anchor tenant Albertson's grocery store. Other tenants include Rite Aid and 30 other stores and restaurants. The renovation is expected to be completed by late 2001.

"Camarillo Village Square is an established neighborhood center that complements our existing properties. Our strategy is to continue to acquire neighborhood, community and power centers to grow our portfolio in the Western states," says Donahue Schriber chairman Dan Donahue.

Located at the intersection of Los Posas Road and Arneill Road, the center is managed by Stacey Monroe, with leasing by Michele Babcock, both employees of Donahue Schriber. A private REIT since 1997, the company represents more than 14 million sf of shopping center space.
