AvalonBay In Uptown Ground On 100-unit Luxury Apartment Building

SEATTLE, WA-With the construction of a $19.2 million apartment property called AvalonBay Belltown, the Alexandria-based REIT is adding 100 units to its existing inventory of 2,164 units in the greater Seattle area.

SEATTLE, WA- AvalonBay Communities Inc. is busy developing a luxury apartment community in the “hottest area for housing in the city right now,” says Dave Kirzinger, VP of development for the Alexandria VA-based REIT. AvalonBay Belltown is 100-unit, five-story development under construction at the Corner of Western and Broad Streets.

AvalonBay Belltown is one of a number of apartment projects planned or underway in the Belltown neighborhood, a gentrifying residential and retail area located immediately south of the downtown core. The neighborhood is a short walk from two of Seattle’s biggest attractions: Pike Place Market and the Seattle Center.
