"What it does is it allows users to share access and analyze multifamily information," says Teri Mullin, with the business development department at Meyers Group. "They can gain access to as much or as little information as they want."

To Jim Holt, director of Apartment Pro, which has been under development since March 2000, the company is uniquely positioned to take on a project like this because of its established infrastructure as a market research firm with 43 offices nationwide. "One of our strengths is local market research," he says. "We have field researchers in every market. In building the database we visit every property we report on."

Apartment Pro is designed to allow developers, builders, appraisers and other real estate professionals interested in multifamily data order the information in a couple of formats. One way is by annual subscription. The other format is the individual report for occasional users like appraisers who may not be working on a large volume of apartment projects.
