Don Megathlin, vice president of development for Talanian did not return calls by press time, but he reportedly said that the building would be designed to serve the medical community and the biotech community. The area's proximity to Downtown opens up the possibility of using it as professional space as well. The building, which is unusual for this area, is part of a recent trend of office buildings being developed west of the Downtown area.
Construction on the building is currently underway and completion is slated for this spring. This is Talanian's first foray into this part of the city. The realty company owns properties in the South End, Downtown and the Back Bay.
