The Junction Shoppes, a nearly 150,000-sf retail center at the southwest corner of Apache Trail and Idaho Road in Apache Junction, has signed a number of new tenants, including The Mattress Firm, H&R Block, Domino's Pizza, Great Clips and Tots Unlimited. The retail center is still under construction and scheduled to be completed by March.

The facility is anchored by a 62,500-sf Fry's grocery store, along with a Blockbuster Video, Walgreens and Taco Bell, all of which are already open.

Apache Junction is becoming an increasingly popular area for new residential development in the past few years, as land has been absorbed in other parts of the East Valley. Apache Junction offers available land and scenic views of the Superstition Mountains, just a few miles to the east of the city. Apache Junction is about 30 miles to the east of downtown Phoenix.
