BRAINTREE, MA-Peabody Construction began construction on its newest project, The Peabody Building, here. The construction company occupied the building at this site but knocked it down to build a three-floor office building.

The building, which will have 39,000 sf of Class A office space, is 15 minutes from Boston, near Braintree Five Corners and South Shore Plaza. Lease rates will be $29.75 per sf, which, J.P. Plunkett, a director at Cushman & Wakefield and the broker for the building, tells GlobeSt.com is the “going rate for the area.”
