As senior project engineer, Andersen serves as a team leader for the technical and permitting aspects of client projects. He is also responsible for making major design decisions and set the technical direction on firm projects.

His previous experience includes working at Dietrich Bailey & Associates as a civil engineer, handling such duties as the engineering design of a subdivision and condominium and small site development. Before this work, Andersen served on many different municipal design/administrative projects, such as the Race Street Water Tower Painting and the Apple Street Sanitary Sewer Extension in Burlington, NC.

Andersen received his bachelor's of science degree in civil engineering from Lawrence Technological University. While in school, Andersen served in the U.S. Army and also received advanced individual training in construction surveying. Andersen lives in Livonia, MI.

Atwell-Hicks Inc. specializes in civil engineering, land surveying, land planning, and environmental services for a wide range of private-sector clients. The firm was founded in 1905 and currently has 165 employees in Ann Arbor, Brighton and Washington Township.
