For their work, Snyder Langston, along with Los Angeles-based architects Altoon + Porter, received the ICSC's prestigious Design and Development Award for Innovative Design and Construction. This project was one of only four around the world to receive an award in this category during 2000.
The Gardens is a 200,000-sf, two-level, open-air specialty center built on a 10-acre site occupying an entire city block. The $50-million project, comprised of high-end retail and dining tenants, was completed in October 1998 as the centerpiece of the city's regional business and shopping district.
Snyder Langston was responsible for preconstruction, project management and general contracting services. Minneapolis, MN-based Madison Marquette is the owner and property manager.
