Cost of Barona Casino, Hotel Project Doubles to $255 Mil

LAKESIDE, CABarona Casino has more than doubled the scope of its planned expansion from $120 million. Neighbors object, however, because of increased traffic on Wildcat Canyon Road.

The plans and impacts are outlined in a revised environmental report completed in late December by two San Diego consulting firms. A public hearing is scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday at the Barona Community Center, 1095 Barona Road. Wildcat Canyon Road becomes Barona Road on the reservation.
