Beverage Dispenser Manufacturer Inks $25-million Lease at Cypress Business Center

CYPRESS, CA-SHURflo will consolidate and expand its operations at its new corporate campus when the project is completed in spring 2002.

CYPRESS, CA-A year-long search by SHURflo Pump Manufacturing for new space has resulted in a 10-year, $25-million lease for a three-building, 231,618-sf campus headquarters in the 200-acre Warland Cypress Business Center.

SHURflo, a beverage dispensing equipment manufacturer, is expecting to move its 400 employees into the build-to-suit project, located at the southwest corner of Katella Avenue and Valley View Street, when the project is completed in spring 2002. The corporate campus will include a 50,000-sf office building, a 91,618-sf R&D facility and a 90,000-sf warehouse.

“SHURflo is an extremely employee-focused company, with a highly trained workforce that has very little turnover,” noted Mitch Zehner of Voit Commercial’s Anaheim Metro office, which represented the tenant. “Therefore, our site search not only included the firm’s spatial requirements, but was also very much tied to being geographically near its current location so that it would be easy for the employees to change their workplace. In the final analysis, after combing the county for more than a year, we found that the very best location for the new facility was just 10 miles from the firm’s existing location in Garden Grove, where it has been since 1987,” he adds.
